Roof replacement in North Dallas, built on what the roof actually shows

Trusted storm damage inspection and roof insurance claim help for Texas homeowners. We are not a roofing contractor — we connect you with a qualified local roofing partner who photographs every slope, writes up what they find, and hands you the report, whether or not there is damage.

No phone script, no door-knocking, no pressure. The form is the only way we take requests, and that is on purpose.

Where are you in this?

Most people land on a roofing site in one of three situations. Pick the one that matches yours — each goes straight to the part that is actually useful.

  • A storm just came through

You saw hail, or heard it, and you do not know whether the roof took damage. Start by learning what damage actually looks like before anyone knocks on your door.

    How to identify hail damage
  • You want the roof looked at

You want a documented, written record of what is actually up there — dated photographs of each slope, and a plain-English summary you can hand to an adjuster.

    What a free inspection covers
  • You are somewhere in a claim

You have filed, or been denied, or been offered less than the job costs, and the vocabulary is not helping. Start with how the Texas claim process actually works.

    The Texas roof claim process

How this works

Get it inspected, get it documented, understand what happens next

Four things, and they run in that order. The inspection produces the evidence, the evidence drives the claim, and the claim decides how the replacement gets paid for. We write the guidance and make the introduction; our vetted local roofing partner does the work on the roof.

  • Roof replacement

When a roof is past repair, what a full replacement involves, and how the work is sequenced from tear-off to final inspection.

  • Roof inspection

What gets checked, what the written report contains, and why a dated inspection is worth having even when nothing is wrong.

  • Storm damage

How hail and wind damage differ, what counts as storm damage to a roof, and what to do in the days after a storm.

  • Roof insurance claims

The Texas claim process step by step, cited to the Texas Department of Insurance — ACV and RCV, depreciation, deductibles, denials and supplements.

Why the claim is the part that matters

In North Texas the question is rarely whether a damaged roof needs replacing. It is whether the damage gets documented well enough, early enough, for the insurer to agree that it happened and that it happened in a covered event.

That is a paperwork problem more than a roofing problem, and it is where homeowners usually lose ground — not because the damage was not there, but because nobody wrote it down properly before the tear-off. Read what a documented inspection report contains, or start with the Texas claim process end to end.

Plainly

What we will not tell you

Storm roofing has a reputation in Texas, and it was earned. Here is where we draw the line, in advance, so you can hold us to it.

We will not promise a claim outcome

Nobody can. Your insurer decides your claim, under your policy. What the inspection controls is how thoroughly the damage is documented before they look at it — so that is what we talk about instead.

We will not offer to waive your deductible

You will owe it. TDI states that contractors cannot legally waive your deductible under Texas law. An offer to absorb it is not generosity — it is a red flag about everything else that contractor is doing.

We will not invent a track record

This is a new company. There are no testimonials on this site, no review counts and no “serving Texas since” line, because there is nothing true to put there yet. What you can judge us on is the quality of what we publish.

We will not manufacture a deadline

There is no universal Texas filing deadline to scare you with — deadlines are set by your policy. Anyone telling you the clock runs out on a fixed date statewide is selling, not informing.

Spring is when this happens

We do not publish hail statistics for individual suburbs, because we have not found a primary source that supports them. What the National Weather Service does say about the metroplex is worth reading.

That is a regional statement, not a claim about your street. Hail falls in narrow, uneven swaths, which is exactly why “the whole neighborhood is getting new roofs” is a poor reason to file and a good reason to get your own roof looked at.

  • Does Homeowners Insurance Cover Roof Replacement Due to Age?

Questions

The ones we get asked first

Is the roof inspection really free?

Yes. Our vetted local roofing partner inspects the roof, photographs every slope, and gives you a written report you keep — whether or not they find damage. There is no charge and no obligation to use them for the work. If nothing is found, the report is still worth having: it is dated evidence of the roof's condition before the next storm.

Does homeowners insurance cover a roof replacement in Texas?

It depends on why the roof needs replacing. The Texas Department of Insurance is direct about it: your insurance company will not pay for a new roof just because it is old or worn out. Sudden damage from a covered event such as hail or wind is a different question, and that is where documentation decides the outcome.

Will you handle my insurance claim for me?

No, and any roofer who says they will is describing licensed public adjusting. Texas Roofing Now is an independent referral service — we are not a roofing contractor and we are not a party to your claim. What our vetted local roofing partner does is inspect, document what they find in dated photographs, put it in a written report, and meet your adjuster on site to walk them through it. Your insurer decides your claim.

Do I have to pay my deductible?

Yes. The Texas Department of Insurance states plainly that contractors cannot legally waive your deductible under Texas law. Any contractor who offers to waive, absorb, rebate or 'work around' it is proposing something illegal — treat that as a reason to walk away, not a discount.

How do I reach you if there is no phone number on the site?

Through the form. Every request goes straight to us with what you have told us about the roof, and we reply by email to arrange the inspection with our roofing partner. Deliberately not having a call center is part of how this business is set up — nobody here is working a phone script, and nobody will door-knock you after a storm.

Which areas do you cover?

DFW and North Dallas. We publish city pages for Dallas, Plano, Frisco, McKinney and Denton, each with that city's own roofing permit rules. If you are nearby but not on the list, send the address through the form and we will tell you honestly whether our roofing partner covers it.
